Photos: Tesla Hypercar Of The Future Looks Spectacular

Tesla Motors has increased its products over the last decade or so to provide almost everyone with an EV that meets their demands. The more luxurious Model S and X cater to the upper echelons, while the Model 3 and Y offer the company’s technology and creativity to millions more. But don’t forget that the company began with a sports automobile. Tesla’s first production automobile, the Roadster, was based on the Lotus Elise.

Elon Musk’s Tesla has promised a reinvented version since then. However, it does not appear to be arriving anytime soon, much like the Cybertruck. While we wait for the next Roadster, which is already extremely attractive, one artist has imagined what a Roadster would look like in true hypercar style.

The Tesla hypercar was designed by Khyzyl Saleem, a 26-year-old concept artist. Up front, it wears the brand’s corporate face, borrowing the headlights from the aforementioned Roadster. A ground-hugging front spoiler gives the hypercar some serious presence. The sculpted hood flows into a sleek roofline that culminates in a short tail.

If Tesla ever produced something like this, it would undoubtedly be battery-powered, but the overall silhouette mimics contemporary mid-engined supercar designs. Large side vents, probably located right in front of the rear wheels, would be used to cool the radiators and prevent overheating.

The rear of the Tesla hypercar render is probably the most dramatic aspect of the overall design. Sitting low and wide, it has an aggressive stance, with the thick tires bulging out of the rear wheel arches. The rear bumper features an angular design, while in the middle, a pair of fang-like design elements give the would-be hypercar a menacing demeanor.

While Tesla’s current range is impressive, we would love to see this hypercar join the brand’s offerings as a halo car of sorts. That just leaves one gap in the range – a brace of gorgeous wagons for those classy customers who don’t want an SUV. Thankfully, someone has already rendered a Model 3 wagon and it’s nearly as breathtaking as the white-painted creation you see above.

Hopefully, the billionaire from South Africa has seen these renderings and is paying attention. According to the favorable response both have got, they would increase the brand’s global popularity – and give it a fighter to compete with electric rivals such as the Rimac Nevera and future battery-powered Lamborghini models.
